About The Royals

Founded in 1902 as the Union Football Club, the East Perth Royals have left an indelible mark on the West Australian Football League (WAFL) since joining in 1906. Renamed East Perth, the club quickly rose to prominence, securing its first premiership in 1919, followed by a remarkable streak of five consecutive titles. Over its illustrious history, East Perth has claimed a total of 17 premierships, with the most recent triumph in 2002.

Presently situated in Leederville, Western Australia, East Perth calls the iconic Leederville Oval its home ground, a venue it shares with the Subiaco Football Club. However, the club's roots trace back to Wellington Square (1901-1909) and later Perth Oval (1910-1999), before settling in its current location.

Notably, from 2014 to 2018, East Perth played a pivotal role in the development of the West Coast Eagles, serving as the host club for West Coast's reserve players in the WAFL. This partnership exemplifies East Perth's commitment to excellence and its support for local institutions, aligning seamlessly with the ethos of mymoto.

2024 Season:

The mighty Royals made an amazing start to the season by securing a commanding victory in the opening game. With 82 points on the board, nearly double that of their opponents, the Bulldogs, who scored 43 points, the team demonstrated their skill, determination, and readiness to compete at the highest level. This impressive performance sets a strong foundation for the season ahead, and we're excited to see what the future holds!
