The Australian automotive is about to change in 2025! We found out what refreshed and new cars are to watch out for! See below the exciting new models ready to hit Australian roads!

Kia Tasman 

Expected - Mid-2025

Been waiting for a dual-cab ute from Kia? Good news, its entering Australian market this year in mid-2025! This model offers 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine producing 151kW and 441Nm, it comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission. To make it more versatile for the buyers, there are two choices, 4x2 and dual range 4x4 drivetrains. As far as we know it is expected to come in single-cab chassis, double-cab chassis and dual-cab pick-up body styles to match a wide range of users’ choices. The prices are expected to be from $40,000 to approximately $70,000 for the top variants. 

BYD Shark 6 (PHEV)

Expected - 2025

The first petrol-electric plug-in hybrid (PHEV) ute in Australia, the BYD Shark 6. This car model comes with 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and dual electric motors, it also has a pretty impressive range of 800km of combines driving and a 29.58kW LFP battery. The Shark 6 is expected to be priced from $57,900, and this competitive price is supposed to make this model an attractive alternative option to other, more expensive utes. 

Ford Ranger PHEV 

Expected - Mid-2025

The most popular Ford’s model in Australia, the Ford Ranger will introduce a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), combining a 2.3-litre EcoBoost petrol engine with a 75kW electric motor and 11.9kWh battery. The Ranger PHEV’s towing capacity is 3,500kg and its off-road capability will still stay as good as its non-electric version. It’s Pro Power Onboard feature allows users to power tools and appliances directly from the car’s battery. This model is expected to be available in Wildtrak, Sport, XLT, and Stormatrak variants with cheapest one starting at around $70,000 and the most expensive one reaching up to $90,000.

Skoda Superb 

Expected - May 2025

New Superb is coming to Australia in May 2025! It will be powered by a 2.0-litre engine delivering 195kW, and a seven-speed DSG gearbox. The regular trim will be available as a regular Superb sedan exterior, but for those who are looking for more aggressive and sporty look, Sportline will be a great choice.  The power output is supposed to be slightly reduced from the previous models, the Superb sedan still bring a great performance and practicality, which is ideal for both, business and leisure. 

Mazda CX-5 Hybrid

Expected - Late 2025

Mazda, a Japanese car maker is preparing to launch the hybrid version of one of its most popular SUVs, Mazda CX-5.  This hybrid variant has a 2.5-litre engine combined with electric power for improved fuel efficiency. For those who are looking for a fuel-efficient SUV car, the Mazda CX-5 might be a perfect choice, this family-friendly hybrid model will let its users spend way less on the fuel and enjoy the drive more. The Mazda CX-5 has been a popular choice for Australians since its debut in 2016, and this hybrid option will make it available for a wider range of customers and solidify CX-5’s position in the market.
